Academic Interests
Hannah McKnight is a museum educator with interests in cultural interpretation and the visual arts. Her research explores the role of arts patronage and the theological implications of arts education in the modern museum. She plans to study:
- The “generative” nature of art and the work of contemporary artist, Makoto Fujimura
- Patronage as the work of loving one’s neighbour
- How the liturgical calendar informs the Christian imagination
- The museum as a remaining “sacred” space
Other Interests
Hannah and her husband, Samuel, enjoy mudlarking along the coast of the North Sea, exploring the marvels of Scotland, and thrifting in the local charity shops. As may be inferred, their home is full of small, found treasures.
