A Poem for St Andrews Day – By Katy Wehr

Katy Wehr (ITIA PhD 2017) offers a poem for St Andrews Day and David Baird (ITIA PhD 2019) provides the introduction. Katy writes: “the St Andrews Cathedral ruins ‘haunted’ my years in St Andrews and it was one of my favorite places to visit, think and pray. It became a symbol of my mental state at the time – a feeling of disconnection from my past and the unknowns of the future.”

The feeling this poem expresses may connect with what others are feeling in this COVID time too. May God give us the grace to live in the in-between-ness, which is also an appropriate Advent theme.
