Clinton Collister is interested in theology and literature, with particular focus on the relationship between theological aesthetics and poetry. His previous research projects have centered on ethics in Geoffrey Hill and myth in Wallace Stevens. In the coming months, he intends to study the connections between the beatific vision and desire in modern and contemporary poetry.
Outside of the classroom, Clinton enjoys walking on the coastal path with his wife, Sarah, smoking pipes with friends, ducking into old churches, listening to folk songs, and writing poetry. He hopes to return to his ancestral homeland, the Isle of Man, for a visit during his time at St Andrews.
