Annie is a lifelong musician, having studied violin and voice since the age of three. She has held different conducting, teaching, and performing positions at United Methodist churches in the United States, and is now interested in exploring the academic side of Sacred Music. Annie considers herself to be much more of a musician than a theologian, but hopes to shift that focus during her time at St Andrews. Some of her academic interests include how minority voices help shape religious environments, and the importance of creating sacred spaces for people of all walks of life. Her primary performance interest is choral conducting.
Annie loves good company and strong coffee. She enjoys playing jazz and bluegrass, reading classic literature, and trying new things.
