Professor Clemens Cavallin on “The Disruptive Logic of the Sacred: A Reflection on the Art of Michael D. O’Brien”

Professor Clemens Cavallin (Nord University) will run a seminar on “The Disruptive Logic of the Sacred: A Reflection on the Art of Michael D. O’Brien” on Friday, 6th of May (2022).

The Seminar will start at 11:00 a.m. in the SCR (Senior Common Room) in the School of Divinity. Space is limited so contact Dr Rebekah Lamb ([email protected]) to RSVP.

Professor Cavallin is Associate Professor of Religion, Philosophies of Life and Ethics at Nord University. His recent books include a monograph on ritual theory, Ritualization and Human Interiority (2013), On the Edge of Infinity (2017), a biography of the Canadian novelist and painter Michael D. O’Brien, and the co-authored book The Future of Religious Studies in India (2020). He has also co-edited the first catalogue of Michael D. O’Brien’s art (Ignatius Press, 2019).
