The place of the body in consideration to the creative act, under the supervision of David Brown. Using a theology of personhood, by way of John Paul II’s A Theology of the Body, and art theory, Sarah will particularly be focusing on representations of the body in the 19th and 20th Century visual arts.
Sarah’s favourite books to re-read are Louis De Wohl’s Lay Siege to Heaven, Odo Casel’s The Mystery of Christian Worship, Wendell Berry’s The Art of the Commonplace and Hannah Coulter, and Von Balthasar & Ratzinger’s Mary: The Church at the Source.
